Deborah LoveDeborah joined Tulane University on October 1, 2004, as the Vice President, Office of Institutional Equity and Special Assistant to the President on Diversity Initiatives. Prior to her appointment at Tulane, she served as the Associate Vice President for Diversity and Equal Opportunity at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida, from February 2002 to October 2004. Love also held the position Director, Center for Human Rights at Washington State University, Pullman, Washington from 1996 to 2002.

Other professional appointments include: Director of Equal Opportunity & Regulatory Compliance Office at the University of Mississippi, 1994 to 1996; Assistant to the Dean, University of Mississippi, School of Law, 1993 to 1994. Associate at the Bonner Law Firm, Gulfport, Mississippi, 1992, Deborah’s notable accomplishments and appointments include Captain in the United States Army, Military Police Corps and Chief Administrative Officer.

Love received her Bachelor’s Degree from Jackson State University. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University Of Mississippi, School of Law. She completed the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Management Development Program. In addition, she is a graduate of the Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) Bryn Mawr Summer Leadership Institute, 2008.
